Pa’nar is a degenerative neurological disorder involving degradation of neural pathways in the brain that also can affect the endocrine and immune systems. If untreated it can be fatal. Pa’nar is a side effect of a Vulcan mind meld and can only be cured by a corrective meld.

Other risks of a Vulcan mind meld include dangerous pressure changes in the brain and difficulty breaking the meld,  which can be physically debilitating, can aggravate existing conditions, and can cause loss of  identity.

The Vulcan mind meld is a telepathic link between two individuals that allows for intimate exchange of thoughts enabling participants to become one mind and share consciousness in a kind of gestalt. The meld is deeply personal and private. Physical contact is not required. A side effect can cause transfer of emotions that produces euphoria. Very seductive euphoria.

Once you’ve got Pa’nar, though, the euphoria subsides, the effects set in, and it can be very difficult to find a Vulcan for the corrective meld. In short, you’re screwed.

Ginger teaches us that we don’t always have to have an insight, breakthrough, or solution in order to let go of what’s not helping us. We don’t have to process everything or stress ourselves out reliving it. We don’t have to react. There are enough other situations that require our reactions; there’s no sense in taking on extra.

Ginger works magic on our souls, cleansing us of wounds and damage without us having to do anything other than let it.

The Incubus is an evil spirit who has sex with women while they sleep. One who oppresses or burdens like a nightmare.

He will hold you in thrall, a state of moral or mental servitude or submission. A state of complete absorption.

Once you have been in thrall to an Incubus and broken free, the haunt stays with you, and it’s not that easy to find the way back.

Harry Mark Petrakis, age 92

“I need now to be prepared for death without brooding about death. I need to try to put remorse and regrets aside, to temper my hopes, to remember daily to be tolerant and kind to those whose lives touch mine. Above all I need to continue my daily struggle to harness my waning spirit and body and endeavor to put words together to make sentences, and to fashion those sentences into stories. There is no saner way for an old writer to end his days.”

Look inside:

What have I received?

What have I given?

What troubles have I caused?

Daydreaming is controlled in the brain by the insula deep in the cerebral cortex. The insula also is associated with consciousness, emotion, perception, self-awareness, cognitive functioning, and interpersonal experience.
